Required Equipment

Helmet

Cascade XRS (or S) Athletic Gold helmet with a black face mask, green chin, athletic gold chin strap green visor decals, and RHS lax decals on the sides and back.

If you are in need of a helmet, please reach out to Scott Ward as we are often able to order helmets at a cheaper rate than you will find publicly.

Stick

This includes a shaft, head, and mesh. There are many options to choose from depending on position and player preference. If you need help picking a stick or stringing a head, players and coaches will be happy to help!

Shoulder pads

These must be designed for lacrosse and meet NOCSAE standard ND200. All chest protectors and shoulder pads must contain the NOCSAE logo and SEI certification mark on both the packaging and the product to be legal for play. 

Effective January 1, 2022, shoulder pads for boys’ field players and goalies. Further details on this requirement can be found at USA Lacrosse.

Gloves

Neutral or team colored  – this means gloves must be a neutral color (white, black, grey) or team colors (green and gold). No other colors are allowed. Failure to comply with this rule may result in ineligibility to play in games.

Arm pads

Various sizes and styles are available, and usually depend on player position and preference.

Cleats

Lacrosse, football, and soccer cleats all work. Final choice depends on player preference.

Mouth guard

Should be a visible color (not clear). Many players prefer a mouthguard with a tether that attaches to the face mask.

Athletic cup and supporter

Goalies only

  • Goalie stick
  • Throat protector
  • Chest protector: Larger and more padded than standard chest protectors. Must meet NOCSAE standard ND200.
  • Padded athletic cup/supporter: Many goalies prefer a larger, more padded athletic cup and supporter.
